Openn product update: January 2025

Incomplete offer

1. Offer form enhancements

Refined finance section
We've enhanced the finance qualification process with new qualifying questions to better understand buyer finance status and the ability to capture mortgage broker details.
New questions can be fully configured - you can set them as required fields or choose to hide them from the form.

Better name handling
A separate "Middle name" field has been introduced to ensure accurate capture of complete legal names. The information from all name fields will be automatically merged into contract documents.

New "Buying on behalf" feature

We've expanded our platform to allow authorised representatives, such as buyers agents or relatives, to submit and manage offers on behalf of buyers. Representatives can now handle the entire offer process through their own Openn account.

2. Streamlined offer management with new status: "Incomplete"

Enhanced offer tracking
We've introduced a new 'Incomplete' status to track offers where buyers haven't provided all required information. Once buyers complete all sections, offers automatically update to 'Pending' status. This enhancement helps agents prioritise follow-ups and evaluate buyer engagement more effectively.

Automated communication
A follow-up system has been implemented to automatically remind buyers of incomplete offers. Agents retain the ability to send manual follow-ups. This dual approach streamlines communication while reducing administrative burden.

Improved buyer experience
A new "Save and exit" feature lets buyers save their progress and return to complete their offer later. Clear status indicators on the property page show buyers their saved progress, streamlining the process and increasing offer completion rates.
